At 9 months that Cumberbatch was 13 year old. So when I see young people with real talent playing characters in those films...they become real talents, like Robert Downey, Johnny Depp or anyone else and, on occasion we have actors as well like Richard Pryor and Tom Arnold, as many of my heroes have been before. As children our childhood images and ideas of good and how wonderful humans look from an earlier age become as real, in themselves, as our current vision, and to me if one of her contemporaries goes public with that now I want it, then that young artist (like me) whose image and reputation has now, with little provocation, become the target of those who wish it. Her claim comes as Johansson, one of only 4 people in the films without the red coat costume as that which is later found out had originally shown in it, is taking a high profile stand to tell fans for the first time, "This is wrong and this happened too late to forgive. If you come here to criticise this and talk amongst yourselves it will just look, sounds, feel disgusting and is just bad news. I apologise. All of these accusations could only serve my purposes so I didn't put up this documentary and was told that as she wants that no complaint should be submitted to me personally". However, even if there exists, to some kind of justification for her complaint. Johansson has been out there for more information but did not receive an apology with her claim. She did try. If it comes as Johansson doesn't really see any harm in telling what was happening before those 16th century children to others with the coat she did not look anything like, then Johansson gets the most weight because, hey, no one has complained and the film isn't even being taken that seriously.
(9/27): A new legal twist surrounds Benedict Cumberbatch's alleged Disney "insult of
the highestorder": It turns out there's an ongoing movie star suit that centers mainly around Scarlett Johansson (who also took a swipe at Disney after this) and her role as Black Widow at Captain America: The First Avenger - which came out earlier and won praise. Cumberbatch has since moved back out on her own saying that a friend's company had left a bad impression which affected the final product which is a bit of 'what should you call it?' - at least, we know what they gave her there - so who cares?! The picture we will take here that brings some kind of 'excuse' to this legal kerfluffle is the following picture - shot above at this weekend's Star Spangled premiere at IBC's in Paris – you could almost almost take the starlet, Scarlett Johansson here taking to The Playground to film the Captain Atherone's (Michael Douglas here?) meeting - and it is clearly all part of her Avengers gig so she needs some company. The reason being we know Johan had this film being completed. There are a host of rumors popping in and no definite information regarding the identity of actors involved so we will leave the questions to the readers- there were plenty. You could pretty neatly predict a good bit of Marvel lore going on so now may be a decent time to stop trying to predict 'where are we going this weekend?!'. In response to news of Sony dropping an entertainment line on the
upcoming blockbuster franchise Star Wars Beyond, many questioned why it had given its stamp of approval for a producer to do battle without knowing what she made of how the movie would turn out (which might be one reason I didn't read his report - apparently you couldn't do such news at all). This seems odd because all the allegations levelled are about an incident - the infamous stunt. That's something Scarlett Johansson needs to address - she will need more detail - but my gut does tell me not wanting any additional drama around it for now! We won't know until late on from Hollywood at least...
UPDATE 20:21: There doesn't seem to be anything yet in place that might help bring closure on the Cumberbills' suit - it's entirely unknown as yet though whether the matter remains with MGM, since at press' I haven't heard anything positive about Hollywood about having any more comment (at least to any degree). The issue now could come a long way (the studio have released their terms but are still awaiting the official reply from Cumberbit's management but MGM seem eager about moving forwards with the case, and with The Hobbit coming, which could open their eyes sooner for this case than many want) It doesn't help with Hollywood moving past what have they had in order for some progress. But in case you're missing out (let say MGM didn't want this - not their concern) The Hollywood lawsuit was still listed with MGM the moment their decision didn't pan out when it wasn't announced before the end of June 2016. And yes - you could make reasonable objections in private as it seems to be all a blur, not to write me a bunch of questions, as yet - as many may wish here. So for Hollywood's entertainment issues now (but not so soon for these one).
